Where is it written that you should renounce the world and sit by the side of sacred fire?
Where is it written that you should leave your family life and undergo suffering?
Where is it written that you should leave your children and change your countenance?
Where is it written that you should become a recluse and move from pillar to post?
Where is it written that you should leave aside the material wealth and donate money aimlessly?
Where is it written that you should undergo rigorous penance and sacrifice your all?
The holy scriptures-Vedas and Quern, have ordained one thing that you should bow your head at the feet of the True Master.
Avtar says, listen O' saints, you may realize God in a trice by doing so.

Meaning
Here , Baba Avtar Singh Ji asks a question to those who believe in doing rites and rituals, yet they are not able to find God.
He asks whether where it is written that man should leave his family and friends in this world and sit next to the fire and bear all sufferings to find God. He asks whether where it is written that man should change his appearance and discomfort himself to find God. Whether where it is written that man should waste all his money and spend it for unnecessary activities.
Thus , He concludes that even the Holy scriptures such as Vedas and Quran say that man should bow his head in the holy feet of the True Master. And if he does so, he can find God in one second.
